You can use this guided pathway if you:
- are worried about paying your bill
- haven’t paid your utility bill and it is overdue
- dispute the amount of your bill
- have been told your service will be or has been disconnected
- want information about NSW Government rebates and savings.
If you don’t pay a utility bill by the due date the service provider may:
- send you reminder notices and charge you late fees
- reduce your contract discount, if any
- send you a disconnection warning notice and disconnect or restrict your supply
- end your contract and charge you a payout figure
- take steps to collect the amount you owe without sending you any more notices or reminders
- start court action against you to get the money you owe (the debt).
